Mid-Columbia Duck Race tickets on sale

Tickets for the annual Mid-Columbia Duck Race are on sale now throughout the Tri-Cities.

They are sold at Griggs Department Store and Tri-Cities Ace Hardware & Sporting Goods stores, Banner Bank branches, Toyota of Tri-Cities, Ranch & Home and Garrison’s Home Appliance Center.

A kickoff event is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 6 at Ranch & Home, 845 N. Columbia Center Blvd., Kennewick.

Free hot dogs and soda will be served, and the first 100 adults who show up will receive a free express car wash courtesy of Autobahn Autocare Center.

This year’s Duck Race is Oct. 8 at Columbia Park in Kennewick. Tickets are $5. The grand prize is a new 2016 Toyota Prius Two, donated by Toyota of Tri-Cities.

Six local Rotary clubs coordinate the annual event, which helps support local service organizations. For details, go to tcduckrace.com.
