Weather heating up just in time for Water Follies

If you like your Water Follies hot, the National Weather Service has a forecast that may make you happy.

Almost three weeks of near to below normal temperatures are coming to an end, it says. Normal highs for July in the Tri-Cities are about 90 degrees.

The high for July 25 should be in the high 90s, building to triple digits as early as July 28 in the Tri-Cities.

The highs for Water Follies Friday and Saturday should be 101 to 103 degrees, according to the weather service.

Sunday should be a little cooler, but with highs still in the 90s, according to early forecasts. Sunshine is expected throughout the week.
