Feral cats win in Benton City pet election

A donkey named Ellie May is the new face of Benton City.

The Benton City Economic Development Council’s revitalization campaign raised $1,200 to help sterilize and immunize feral cats through a lighthearted “pet election.”

The Facebook-based campaign invited visitors to vote for their favorite candidates with dollars. Ellie May won with three votes.
