Mid-Columbia Libraries summer program features Pokémon GO

Those participating in Mid-Columbia Libraries’ Summer Reading Challenge can use time playing the popular app Pokémon GO to satisfy one of the challenge’s activity requirements.

The library district will have a Poké-Excursion at the Playground of Dreams at Kennewick’s Columbia Park from noon to 2 p.m. on July 23. Participation fulfills the exploration portion of the summer competition.

The Summer Reading Challenge continues until Aug. 19 and is for readers of all ages. Top finishers are eligible for several grand prizes — a 48-inch television, iPad Mini, Beats headphones, iPod Touch, Xbox One and a Seattle Seahawks tailgate package.
