The League of Women Voters of Benton & Franklin Counties plans a forum for candidates for state and federal positions at 6:30 p.m. July 7 at the Richland Public Library.

Candidates for positions representing Washington’s 4th and 8th legislative districts in Olympia, as well as the 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives will be on hand.

U.S. Rep. Dan Newhouse, R.-Sunnyside, is in Washington, D.C., and cannot attend, but two challengers will be on hand, including Democrat Doug McKinley of Richland and Republican Clint Didier of Eltopia.

The library is at 955 Northgate Drive.

Ballots for Washington’s all-mail Aug. 2 primary are to be mailed to voters starting next week.
