HomeStreet Bank launching donations campaign on social media
HomeStreet Bank announced on June 13 the launch of its “Vote Your Heart” giving campaign, a social media contest where the public can vote for competing local organizations to decide where HomeStreet will allocate charitable sponsorships.
HomeStreet is running the campaign in the Puget Sound region, Eastern Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, and California. The public is encouraged to vote from HomeStreet Bank’s Facebook page.
Voting periods are tiered so that smaller organizations are not competing with larger organizations, and three organizations will compete in each voting period. Every organization will receive a donation, and the amounts are $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place and $3,000 for third place.
HomeStreet has selected organizations that provide services to satisfy basic community needs, such as housing, food and shelter.
