Kennewick councilman tapped for industry board
Don Britain of the Kennewick City Council has been elected secretary of the board of the Association of Washington Cities.
Britain was elected to the city council in 2009 and re-elected in 2013. He was selected by his peers to serve as mayor pro-tem in the absence of Mayor Steve Young.
Britain has served on the AWC board since 2014 as an at-large member representing cities east of the Cascade Mountains.
The association provides advocacy, education and other services to Washington cities and their elected leaders.
