Pasco chosen for statewide debate this fall
A Seattle-based civic initiative has picked Pasco has one of five sites for a debate for either the U.S. Senate or the governor’s race.
The actual dates for the debates and what races they will cover will be determined later this summer, said the Washington State Debate Coalition.
Four of the debates will be broadcast live following the U.S. presidential and vice presidential debates on Sept. 26 and Oct. 4, 9 and 19.
The Washington State Debate Coalition is a group established by the Seattle City Club with members in government, higher education and the media.
The Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce and Columbia Basin College applied to be host a debate. Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane and Redmond are the other debate sites.
