Canadian motorcyclist injured in I-182 crash in Franklin County

A Canadian motorcyclist was injured in a crash Saturday on Interstate 182 at Road 68, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Allen K. Willson, 71, of Ontario, B.C., was driving a Yamaha XVZ motorcycle westbound shortly after noon when he struck the rear of a Honda 300 motorcycle driven by Doug R. Harkness, 59, also of Ontario, the state patrol said.

Willson was transported to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland. He was wearing a helmet and his motorcycle was totaled, the state patrol said. He will be charged with following too close.

Harkness was also wearing a helmet and was uninjured, the state patrol said.
