Service should be fully restored by mid-morning Friday to Kennewick Irrigation District members who lost water Monday night because of a canal break, according to the irrigation district.

The Highland feeder canal break had been repaired and service restarted to some areas Thursday morning.

The break flooded homes in and near a cul-de-sac on 13th Avenue not far from the intersection of Columbia Center Boulevard and 10th Avenue in Kennewick. A burrowing animal is blamed.
