Richland firefighters partner with Second Harvest to distribute free food

The Richland Firefighters Local 1052 union is partnering with Second Harvest to distribute free food at a Mobile Food Bank distribution from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 3 in the Uptown Shopping Center parking lot in the 1300 block of George Washington Way in front of Uptown Vision Center.

The Mobile Food Bank will include about 8,500 pounds of fresh produce and other perishable foods and will be distributed with the help of Richland firefighters.

Information on fire safety, nutrition education and community resources will also be available. The event is open to all families in need of food assistance. No documentation is necessary to participate. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a box or bags for their food.
