Road construction will affect traffic this week

Construction, maintenance and utility work will affect traffic in the Tri-City region through June 5.

The Washington Department of Transportation said projects could have a significant impact.

The affected areas include:

▪  Interstate 82 between mileposts 82 and 92, from Prosser to Yakitat Road.

▪  Benton City at highways 224 and 225, where an intersection project is under construction.

▪  Pasco at Highway 397 between milepost 20 and 21, for installation of a water main.

▪  Richland, at Highway 240 between mileposts 26 and 29.
