The unofficial start to summer this weekend should be sunny but a little cooler to start than usual for this time of year in the Tri-Cities.

Expect mostly sunny skies in the Tri-Cities through Monday, says the National Weather Service.

Friday and Saturday the high may reach only 70 in the Tri-Cities. Normal highs for late May are 78.

But the temperature should continue to climb through the weekend, hitting the mid 70s Sunday and the normal 78 on Memorial Day, according to the weather service.
