Fire hydrant work to close Kennewick street Tuesday

A section of Kennewick’s South Alder Street will be closed May 17 while workers install a new fire hydrant and service line.

South Alder will be closed between East Eighth and 10th avenues from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., said the Kennewick Public Works Department.

Residents and emergency vehicles will be able to access Alder from Eighth.
