Motorcyclist injured in Highway 224 crash

A motorcyclist was in stable condition Thursday at Kadlec Regional Medical Center after a collision with a pickup on Highway 224 one mile west of West Richland.

John E. Huebner, 34, of Richland, was driving a 1977 BMW motorcycle east at 5:36 p.m. when he collided with a Honda Ridgeline stopped in the left turn lane at Keene Road. The car’s driver was David Neuroth, 34, also of Richland, state police said.

Huebner was wearing a helmet, state police said. Neuroth was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

State police attributed the crash to inattention.
