120 pets looking for homes at adoption event in Kennewick

The Kennewick PetSmart will be offering its pet adoptions from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 14.

About 120 adoptable pets are expected from Mikey’s Chance, C.A.R.E., Pet Over Population Prevention, Adopt Shelter Animal Pets, Out West Pet Rescue, Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter, Wenatchee Valley Humane Society, Dogs of the Gorge, Grant County Shelter, Benton County Animal Control, Northwest Boxer Rescue, Prevent Homeless Pets, Adams County Pet Rescue, Fuzz Ball Rescue, The Pit Bull Pen, Tri-Cities Animal Shelter, Red Waggin Rescue, Wags to Riches, Two Rivers Correctional Institute and Tri Cities Rabbit Rescue.

Last year, the store helped adopt 378 dogs and 383 cats and distribute more than 6,000 pounds of food and supplies to pets affected by the wildfires in Washington and Oregon.

The Kennewick store at 6807 W. Canal Drive.
