Special Olympic athletes compete at Pasco track meet
Maryam Yaser, 10, a student at Vista Elementary School, makes a strong finish Tuesday in the 25-meter assisted walking event at the Special Olympics Washington Tri-Cities track meet at Chiawana High School in Pasco.

An estimated 450 athletes from 45 schools participated in the track and field events, according to Stephen Opland, east region senior manager for Special Olympics Washington.
