Dish-washing dispute leads to stabbing
A Kennewick man was booked into the Benton County Jail for aggravated assault and other violations when a dispute with his girlfriend turned violent.
Richard A. Serrano, 20, injured his his unnamed girlfriend’s arm with a screwdriver after the two argued over whose turn it was to wash dishes, the Kennewick Police Department reported.
Serrano was under a court order to have no contact with his girlfriend, 22, at the time. The incident occurred early Saturday in the 1200 block of West 10th Avenue. Officers said Serrano became enraged when his girlfriend tried to get away and used the screwdriver to poke her arm, breaking the skin.
The injuries were minor.
