Mid-Columbia Libraries to hold annual Día celebration April 30
Mid-Columbia Libraries’ annual Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros celebration is April 30 in Pasco, and coincides with the Pasco branch library’s 54th birthday celebration.
The free event is part of a national drive to promote literacy for children. It runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pasco branch library at the corner of Hopkins Street and 14th Avenue near Memorial Park.
Each child who attends will receive a free book courtesy of The Children’s Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia. The Rude Mechanicals and Walter Chimal will provide live music and there will be other activities and giveaways along with refreshments.
