Widening work continues on Edison Street in Kennewick

Tri-City Herald

Starting Wednesday morning, northbound traffic on Edison Street in Kennewick will no longer have lane restrictions.

Drivers will again have a left-turn lane, a through lane and a through-right shared lane, said a city release. The restrictions were part of a widening project.

On Tuesday, crews paved the west side of Edison Street near Canal Drive and between Clearwater Avenue and Hood Avenue.

The southbound lanes between Hood Avenue and Clearwater Avenue will be moved over to the newly paved area so work can begin on the east side of Edison. The lane configuration will not change, just the alignment of the lanes.

The construction speed zone between Metaline Avenue and Clearwater Avenue is 25 mph.
