Pasco Superfund landfill topic of April 29 talk

The Washington State Department of Ecology will discuss the Pasco Sanitary Landfill, a Superfund site near Pasco, at meeting of the Eastern Washington Chapter of the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers.

Officials will discuss cleanup progress and a two-year effort to extinguish an underground fire at the landfill.

The meeting, which is open to the public, is scheduled for 2 p.m. April 29 in the Richland Library Rooms A and B, 955 Northgate Drive.
