Trios Medical Group welcomes nurse practitioner

Amy Carter has joined the Trios Medical Group—Endocrinology team to provide patient care primarily at Trios Care Center at Vista Field, 521 N. Young Street in Kennewick.

Carter has worked as a registered nurse with primary focus in surgical care and family practice, as well as a certified diabetes educator for children and adults, at healthcare facilities in Rhode Island, Oregon, California, and Washington. She most recently worked with Providence St. Mary Medical Center Physicians Group in Walla Walla.

She has also served internationally as a volunteer for healthcare aid and diabetes education programs in Honduras, Thailand, and the Dominican Republic, as well as domestically in Hawaii, Louisiana and Spokane Valley.

Carter earned a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Hawaii in Hilo, and a masters in nursing from Washington State University in Spokane.
