Suicide intervention training set April 26 in Richland
A suicide intervention training is planned April 26 at the Kadlec Healthplex, 1268 Lee Blvd., Richland.
The SAFE, or Suicide Awareness for Everyone, training will run from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and address suicide prevalence, risk factors, protective factors and common warning signs. It’s based on psychologist Paul Quinnett’s suicide intervention method, which “emphasizes that both professionals and non-professionals can effectively intervene to prevent suicides and are often our best first line of defense,” a news release said.
Kadlec Neurological Resource Center and Comprehensive Mental Health are sponsoring the program.
To sign up, call 509-943-8455 or go to www.kadlec.org/knrc.
