Kennewick motorcyclist injured in crash on Highway 395 near blue bridge

Troopers from the Washington State Patrol and Kennewick Police officers investigate the scene of Friday morning's motorcycle crash in the southbound lanes of Highway 395 heading into Kennewick from the base of the blue bridge. Julio Urena, 24, went off the roadway, struck the guardrail and was thrown from his Yamaha motorcycle. The Washington State Patrol reports speed was the cause of the wreck and cited Urena for reckless driving. The Kennewick man was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, according to Kennewick fire officials. Urena was wearing a helmet.

A Kennewick man was injured when his motorcycle hit the guardrail as he was in the southbound lanes of Highway 395 heading into Kennewick from the base of the blue bridge.

Julio Urena, 24, was thrown from his Yamaha motorcycle, according to the Washington State Patrol

Urena was driving too fast and will be cited for reckless driving, according to the state patrol.

He was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland with serious injuries, according to Kennewick fire officials.

Urena was wearing a helmet.
