Jubilee Leadership Academy fundraiser is April 23

Barnes & Noble is holding a fundraiser April 23 for Jubilee Leadership Academy that features a book signing event as well as story times.

The academy will receive a percentage of the sales made in store on April 23 and online April 23-28. Customers must use the Bookfair ID #11826591 at checkout.

An information booth will be hosted by Jubilee staff and students from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and students will read the story Where’s the Party at 11 a.m.

Fantasy author Kerry Schafer will host a book launch and signing from noon to 2 p.m.

Officer Ray Aparicio of the Pasco Police Department will make a safety presentation and read Where The Wild Things Are at 3 p.m. and again at 4 p.m.

The events are free and open to the public. Barnes & Noble is at the Columbia Center mall in Kennewick.
