Suicide prevention climb scheduled April 16 on Badger Mountain

The Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), will host a climb up Badger Mountain on April 16 to support and raise awareness for suicide prevention and LGBT youth.

Check-in starts at 5:30 p.m. at Badger Mountain Trailhead off Shockley Road. The Urban Poet Society students will share some creative words with participants at 6 p.m., followed by the hike at 6:30 p.m.

To pre-register go to bfpflag.com. Cost is $15. If you would like to get sponsors to donate to your climb, there are prizes for increments of $50 and $100 raised by an individual that include a T-shirt, a tumbler and journal.

All funds raised will go to the Youth Suicide Prevention Program of Benton Franklin and PFLAG Benton Franklin.
