Partly sunny skies, wind gusts, high pollen count in forecast

Signs of spring abound at every turn in the Tri-Cities.

A gaggle of goslings was spotting shaking off water Wednesday after a swim with their parents in the Columbia River at Howard Amon Park in Richland.

The forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high near 65 and a south wind 11 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Pendleton.

The pollen count is also high Wednesday, thanks to tree pollens from alder, birch and juniper, according to Pollen.com.
