Spring cleanup underway along Highway 240 in Kennewick
Joe Montes, an employee of the state Department of Transportation, uses a long propane torch to light off a pile of tumbleweeds Monday morning along Highway 240 between the blue bridge and the Edison Street overpass.
DOT crews have been busy cleaning up the shoulders of area highways of debris and windblown tumbleweeds.
Motorists can expect shoulder closures in the Highway 240 area for a couple days this week.
