State Rep. Nealey to seek re-election to House

Rep. Terry Nealey, R-Dayton, plans to seek another two-year term in the state House of Representatives.

Nealey said this week he has decided not to pursue the open state Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Mike Hewitt.

“There is a strong possibility the Republicans could take control of the House in the coming election. I believe my relationship with members on both sides of the aisle, as well as my experience and knowledge as ranking member on the Finance Committee will be important in addressing the challenges ahead of us in the upcoming year,” Nealey said in a news release.

Nealey currently serves on the Economic Revenue and Forecast Council, House Technology, Economic Development Committee and is ranking member of the House Finance Committee. This is his seventh year in the state House.
