Child abuse awareness display set up at Kennewick mall

The Support, Advocacy & Resource Center has a display in the Columbia Center mall in Kennewick aimed at raising awareness about child abuse.

The “Little People Project” features small three-dimensional wooden figures representing the 553 investigated cases of child abuse in Benton and Franklin counties in 2015.

The display will be up through April 15.

It’s one of several activities SARC plans in April as part of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
