Music, theater, short films and food trucks will mark the grand opening of Richland’s new community stage on April 9.

Almost 20 local theatrical and musical groups will christen the stage throughout the day, and the screening of two short films as part of the Tri-Cities International Film Festival will close the celebration.

Food trucks from Emerald of Siam, Glass Onion, Maui Juice, Latte Lovin’, Kettle Corn and Papa Churro will be on hand. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.

Attendance is free. Parking is available north of the Federal Building, at City Hall and in the Richland Parkway business district. For a detailed schedule, go to bit.ly/1qoUWai.
