The Midnite Mudders, a four-wheel-drive club, has organized an annual litter cleanup of the Juniper Dunes April 9.

People who want to participate should meet at the end of Peterson Road off the Pasco-Kahlotus Highway at 7 a.m. and bring protective equipment. A rake and shovel also may be useful.

Midnight Mudders will provide garbage bags and haul off the trash collected.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and several other Columbia Basin four-wheel-drive clubs also are expected to participate from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A cookout with hamburgers and hotdogs donated by Windy River Meats of Pasco is planned at the end of cleanup. Midnite Mudders also will be collecting canned food and money for Second Harvest.
