Boaters rescued near Palouse Falls

Franklin County authorities rescued three people from a sinking boat near Palouse Falls.

The boat got stuck in a current and hit rocks about 7 p.m. Saturday night, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Members of the sheriff’s office, Columbia Basin Dive Rescue and Franklin Fire District 2 helped save the stranded boaters.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured.

Authorities planned to get the boat out the water Sunday.
