Tickets on sale for annual elk foundation banquet

Tickets are on sale for the Tri-Cities Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation annual Big Game Banquet, which starts at 4 p.m. April 9 at TRAC in Pasco. The banquet brings hunters and conservationist together for a night of fun. There are games, drawings and auctions with a big emphasis on kids.

Tickets can be purchased on line at www.rmef.org/Events/StateChapterEvents or call Craig Adams 509-947-3944. Ticket sales deadline is April 6.

The Tri-Cities chapter is going to be recognized in the May/June issue of the Bugle magazine as a 2015 Outstanding Chapter for raising more than $100,000 in 2015. The chapter has 28 active members. In the 27 years that the Tri-Cities chapter has been active, the committee has raised about $1.5 million for the organization.

The chapter will be once again be volunteering in Asotin to remove fences, plant shrubs and inspect and repair springs and water troughs.
