2 Franklin County men injured when parked pickup hit
Two men were injured when the pickup they were riding in was hit in Franklin County about five miles from Basin City Saturday afternoon.
Julio Ramirez, 24, of Othello, was driving a pickup south on Highway 17 at 12:47 p.m. when his pickup left the road and hit another abandoned pickup parked on the shoulder and owned by Dalton Weber, 23 of Prosser, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Ramirez was not injured, but the two passengers in Ramirez’s vehicle were taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco.
Joel Balderas Ramirez, 23, of Basin City, and Marco Resendiz Ramirez, 22, of Mesa, were the passengers. Both were wearing seatbelts.
