Kennewick event to show low-income challenges

A free simulation aimed at showing the challenges low-income citizens face is planned March 25 in Kennewick.

“Food, Medicine or Shelter. You chose,” runs 1 to 3 p.m. at the local United Way, 401 N. Young St.

United Way and Gesa Credit Union are partnering to offer the event.

Participants will be assigned roles and charged with navigating day-to-day life, from paying rent to figuring out transportation.
