Pasco fatal crash victim identified

A man killed in a single-car wreck near the King City Truck Stop in Pasco was driving 90 to 100 mph when he lost control Sunday.

Virgil L. Moore, 52, was identified Tuesday as the driver of the Honda Civic that crashed March 13 on North Capitol Avenue, according to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.

His name was not released until Tuesday so family members could be notified.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, the coroner’s office said.

A toxicology test will be performed to determine if Moore was under the influence. Results will take several weeks.

Editor’s note: This story has been updated. Virgil L. Moore did not live at the Tri-City Union Gospel Mission as previously stated. Incorrect information was provided to the Herald.
