A low pressure system and cold front will bring breezy weather and possibly a thunderstorm and hail to the Tri-Cities on March 13.

Showers may fall before 11 a.m. Sunday, with more showers and possibly a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening hours. Any hail should be small, according to the National Weather Service.

The chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Rainfall could total a tenth to a quarter inch, or possibly more if there is a thunderstorm.

Gusty winds are expected to be strongest in the afternoon and evening. Expect sustained speeds of 16 to 26 mph with gusts as high as 38 mph. A wind advisory has been issued by the weather service from 1 to 11 p.m.

The week ahead could be drier. A 30 percent chance of rain is forecast for March 14, decreasing to a slight chance March 15. March 16-18 should be partly sunny to clear in the Tri-Cities.
