Columbia Basin Dive Rescue located a vehicle with a body inside in the Columbia River in Douglas County on Wednesday.

Douglas County deputies received a report of a family disturbance Monday evening in Rock Island south of Wenatchee, according to a sheriff’s office report. Andrew Vincent, 42, had been seen leaving the house and driving his vehicle into the river about 50 yards away.

Deputies and firefighters from Douglas and Chelan counties searched for the missing man using thermal imaging equipment. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office patrol boat’s sonar system also was used to search, without finding Vincent.

Columbia Basin Dive Rescue arrived to help Wednesday and found the vehicle in 40 feet of water at 2 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. The vehicle was pulled from the water with Vincent’s body inside.

Whether the vehicle was driven into the water intentionally or whether it was an accident has not been determined. No autopsy is planned.
