Police hat collection donated, displayed at Kennewick Police Department

Kennewick Police Chief Ken Hohenberg shakes hands Monday morning with former Benton County Undersheriff Bright Bowe following a dedication ceremony for a police hat collection that Bowe donated for display in the main lobby of the Kennewick Police Department.

Bowe said he spent years collecting the formal dress uniform hats from local agencies, across the nation and around the world.

The Past Kennewick Man of the Year Club helped buy the lighted glass display cases.

Teresa Bowe, his wife of 53 years, stands at his left.

There are about 50 hats displayed.
