Comment on John Wayne Pioneer Trail plan

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission is accepting public comments as it develops a long-term plan for the John Wayne Pioneer Trail.

Plans are being made for the portion of the trail starting at Beverly Bridge on the Columbia River and extending 175 miles east to the Idaho border. The plan will address management and recreational uses after the trail, purchased by the state in 1981, came close to being given to neighboring landowners last year.

Written comments can be sent to randy.kline@parks.wa.gov. For more information, go to bit.ly/JohnWayneTrail.
