Open house planned for those interested in Miss Tri-Cities pageants

All who are interested in participating in this year’s Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen Pageant and the Miss Tri-Cities Pageant — as a contestant, a little sister or a volunteer are invited to attend an open house scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. March 19 at the Banner Bank, 201 W. First Ave. in Kennewick.

Stefanie Maier, Miss Tri-Cities 2015, and Sarah Niles, Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen 2015, will share their experiences during their year of service. Additionally, members of the Miss Tri-Cities Board will answer questions about the pageants. Applications and informational brochures will be available.

Miss Tri-Cities Pageant contestants must be age 17-24 and must be a high school graduate prior to the 2017 state competition. Contestants in the teen pageant must be 13 to 17. Each contestant must also have a musical, dramatic, or dance talent and meet a number of character requirements as set forth by the Miss America Organization and Miss America Outstanding Teen Organization.

The pageant is July 23 at Kennewick High School, 500 S. Dayton St. Application deadline is April 11. To learn more or to submit an application, visit www.misstricities.org.
