Charter service restored after outage in Oregon
A utility crew accidentally severed a Charter Communications cable in Kennewick, cutting service Wednesday night to Hermiston and Astoria.
Anita Lamont, communications director, said Charter knew about the accident and began repairs immediately. The line carries telephone, TV and Internet signals. The damage apparently affected nodes serving Oregon communities almost 300 miles apart, but not Kennewick itself.
