Weber retiring as local United Way CEO
The president and CEO of United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties is retiring in July.
Beverly Weber plans to serve through July 8 and then move closer to family in the Midwest, the organization announced Tuesday.
“Due to Beverly’s leadership skills and commitment, United Way has a solid foundation and is a strong community asset. Her contributions have been significant and she will be missed,” said John MacArthur, board chairman, in a news release.
Weber called her time with the organization “the most rewarding, challenging and exhilarating of my career.”
She joined the local United Way in 2003 and was the first woman to serve as its president and CEO.
Accomplishments during her tenure range from creation of the United Way’s Community Solutions Plan to the Attendance Matters initiative.
The five months of lead time to Weber’s retirement will give the board time to transition to a new leader, the release said.
