The Tri-Cities will see something this week that has been in short supply this winter — sunshine.

The National Weather Service is predicting mostly sunny days this week. Highs should be in the mid 50s most days.

That’s a little above normal for this time of year. Highs usually average 48 degrees in February in the Tri-Cities, warming to about 53 degrees at the start of March, according to the weather service.

Tuesday may have the clearest skies, with clouds obscuring the sun some on Wednesday and Thursday and then mostly sunny skies again Friday. A storm might pass through the region Saturday, bringing a chance of rain, according to early predictions.
