A climate change talk covering controversy and consensus, birds, water and fire is planned Feb. 23 in Kennewick at a meeting of the Lower Columbia Basin Audubon Society.

The National Audubon Society spent several years studying the issues, using more than a century of data collected by citizen scientists. Speakers will include Audubon members and a retired Forest Service district ranger.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church at the intersection of Highway 395 and Yelm Street.
