A Pasco teen died after reportedly racing two other drivers Friday morning on Interstate 182 in Pasco.

Emmanuel “Mannie” Andres Aispuro, 19, died in the wreck just after 11 a.m. near the Broadmoor Boulevard exit, the Washington State Patrol reported. He was driving a 2008 Scion tC coupe.

Aispuro’s car flipped and he was thrown out. He was not wearing a seat belt, the state patrol said.

Aispuro and two other cars were approaching Road 68 at “a high rate of speed” when Aispuro lost control and rolled, the state patrol said.

Mark A. Mendoza, 16, of Pasco, was driving a 2011 Chevy Camaro. Manuel Rosas, 27, of Pasco, was driving a 2013 Acura ILX. Mendoza and Rosas were not injured, the state patrol said.

The state patrol said the cause is under investigation and that drugs or alcohol were not involved.

The state patrol closed an eastbound lane of the interstate and the off-ramp near the crash for several hours while they investigated. Pasco police and emergency crews helped at the scene.
