Comedy star Ron ‘Tater Salad’ White to perform in Kennewick on May 21
Comedy star Ron White will return to Kennewick in May to perform at the Toyota Center’s Windermere Theatre.
The May 21 show — which starts at 7 p.m. — will be more intimate than White’s last performance in town a few years back.
That’s by design.
“He wants more of a theater-type of feel and wants to be able to connect with the audience more. It’s very, very special for us,” said Jude Strode, spokeswoman for the Toyota Center.
Fewer than 2,000 seats will be available.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 26 at the Toyota Center box office and through Ticketmaster.
The brash and outspoken White, nicknamed “Tater Salad,” is known to smoke cigars and sip Scotch on stage.
He’s sold more than 14 million albums solo and as part of the smash Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
He also has two Grammy Award nominations, along with numerous TV and film credits.
Strode said the Toyota Center is excited to welcome White back.
“It’s been a long time since we’ve had him here. This community loves comedy and he certainly can deliver,” she said.
The show is for mature audiences.
Tickets start at $45.
Those purchased through the Toyota Center box office avoid service charges.
