Kennewick police responded to a two-vehicle accident Thursday night that left a male driver injured.

Officers said a white 1992 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on W. 7th Avenue when it failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with S. Vancouver Street, just north of Zintel Canyon.

A gold 2004 Honda Accord, traveling south, crashed into the driver’s side door of the white Accord, sending it into Vancouver Park, police said. Responding paramedics had to extract the driver from the white Accord after realizing his legs were pinned inside.

Police said the white Accord’s driver was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
