Meals on Wheels’ new kitchen construction rolling along in Richland
Caleb Bork, an employee of Aarrow Plumbing of Pasco, works inside the concrete foundation of the Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels kitchen Thursday, installing drain pipe for the new facility at 1824 Fowler St. in Richland.
The 2.2-acre campus also is the new site for the administration offices building for Senior Life Resources, which operates the meals program for seniors.
A benefit breakfast to help purchase equipment for the new kitchen facility is being held Feb. 24 by Steven Simmons of Country Gentleman Restaurant and Catering at the TRAC facility in Pasco.
The public is invited to attend, but people are asked to RSVP by Feb. 22 by calling 509-735-1911.
